AlgoNation is open to Indian students currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, Web Development, Cybersecurity, and related fields at recognised Indian colleges and universities.

Registration is individual. Each participant registers and competes individually in Round 1 (Online Coding Challenge). Team formation happens organically in Round 2, where qualifying participants are matched into teams through a structured process.

What is the registration fee and what does it cover?

The registration fee is ₹99 per student — a one-time payment that covers participation in all four competition rounds, a certificate of participation, networking opportunities, mentorship access during project rounds, and career visibility to our hiring partners.

What are the exact competition dates?

All four rounds take place on Sundays: Round 1 on August 16, Round 2 on August 23, Round 3 on August 30, and Round 4 (Grand Finale) on September 6, 2026. These are final, planned dates — confirmed details will be communicated after registration.

What does Round 1 (Online Coding Challenge) involve?

Round 1 is a timed online coding assessment covering algorithmic problem solving, data structures, and logic-based questions. It is individually evaluated, and the top-scoring participants advance to Round 2.

How are teams formed in Round 2?

After Round 1, qualifying participants take part in collaboration and communication exercises. Teams are formed through a structured matching process, with consideration for skill sets and compatibility. Teams are then assessed on strategy and role assignment.

What do we need to build in Round 3?

Round 3 requires teams to build a working prototype or functional product around a real-world challenge provided during the round. Innovation, technical execution, scalability, and product thinking are all evaluated. Mentorship is available throughout.

Are there prizes? What do winners receive?

Prizes, awards, and sponsor details will be announced closer to the event. At minimum, all participants receive certificates of participation, and top performers receive achievement recognition. Top-placing teams may also gain enhanced visibility with hiring partners.

Will I get a certificate for participating?

Yes. Every registered participant who completes Round 1 receives a certificate of participation. Additional certificates and awards are given for advancing through rounds and for final placements.

Top-performing participants may receive talent shortlisting (profile shared with hiring partners), access to internship opportunities, fast-track interview access, and networking connections. These opportunities are facilitated through our partners — not guaranteed placements.
